When a contributing member becomes partially or totally incapacitated due to sickness or injury and is unable to work in any occupation for income or gain, the member may be eligible to receive Incapacity Benefit.

1. WHO CAN APPLY?
You may be eligible for an Incapacity Benefit if you:
A TNPF member
Are partially or totally incapacitated as a result of sickness or injury.
Are unable to work in any occupation for income or gain.
2. HOW MUCH IS PAID?
The Death Benefit is a lump-sum payment equal to the:
TOTAL ACCUMALATED SAVINGS
of the incapacitated member, including:
Member Contributions
Employer Contributions
Voluntary Contributions
Interests Earned
All Benefits are calculated in accordance with the Tuvalu National Provident Fund Act.
3. WHEN IS IT PAID?
The Death Benefit is payable after the Fund receives and approves a complete claim with all required documents.
We aim to process and pay the benefit as promptly as possible.
4. HOW TO MAKE A CLAIM?
STEP 1
Inform TNPF
Inform us as soon as possible about your incapacity.
STEP 2
Prepare Documents
Gather & submit all required documents
STEP 3
Medical Assessment
Visit your doctor for evaluation and medical certificate.
STEP 4
Assessment
TNPF will assess your application and may contact you if additional information is required.
STEP 5
Submit Application
Submit the completed Incapacity Application Form, the Medical Form & documents to TNPF
STEP 6
Payment
We will assess your application and will inform you of the result.
5. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Completed Incapacity Benefit Application Form
Medical Certificate from a registered medical practitioner
Proof of identity (TNPF ID Card)
Bank Account Details of Beneficiary(ies)
TNPF may request additional documents if necessary.
6. IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please ensure you have completed the Medical Form with a registered medical practitioner.
Benefits are paid in accordance with the TNPF Act.
Any false or misleading information may result in delay or rejection of Application.
There is a fee of AUD$20.00 when applying for Death Benefit.
